Music In The Square
In 2007, the concerts moved to the Janet Leigh Plaza on Friday and Saturday evenings, at the request of surrounding businesses, to enhance the family-friendly atmosphere in the plaza and entertain the large weekend crowds.
This year the public can, once again, look forward to a wide range of entertainment. See schedule to the right of this page.
“This is great for local musicians and for downtown,” stated local promoter Middagh Goodwin, who has collaborated with the Alliance in the past. “There’s a lot of talent in Stockton and we’re still pretty limited in the number of venues for live music. This means there’s forty more opportunities to perform here, and that’s a good thing.”
Music in the Square is scheduled to take place each Friday and Saturday evening, 7-9 pm, in the Janet Leigh Plaza (downtown cinema plaza) from May through September.
Final Fridays concerts move to DeCarli Plaza (across El Dorado St. from the Cinema Square). Final Fridays are sponsored by the River City Bank.
